Siberian Forest Cats are bred to command attention from the very first glance. They have it all. An impressive size and regal posture. Luxurious, triple-thick coats that come in a wide array of possible colors with a signature lion-like mane. Bright, soulful eyes set in round, expressive faces. All their unique features blend together in perfect harmony to create a breed that is stunningly photogenic. But beneath this show-stopping exterior, Siberians have an equally captivating personality. Bold and adaptable, these cats are known for being almost on par with dogs in their playfulness and affection for their owners—even sometimes enjoying a good game of fetch!

If their physical and character traits weren’t already enough, Siberians are blessed with an additional feature that makes them the ideal choice for any family—they’re hypoallergenic! Because they produce 60 percent less Fe d 1 protein in their saliva, these cats are game-changers for families with members who suffer from allergies. Their status as a low-allergen breed also makes them ideal candidates for owners in the neurodivergent community who may struggle with sensory challenges.

It is our personal philosophy that socialization is key to raising happy, healthy kittens. All our litters are born and cared for directly in our home, with constant human contact and handled from Day One. Jedi, our 60-pound Standard Poodle, also plays a pivotal role in preparing our kittens for any potential roommates who might await them in their future homes. We have been a part of the Clark County 4-H project for 23 years, making scheduled visits for cuddles with kids from a variety of age groups. Nail clippings, baths, and blow-drying are all started at an early age in order to make good hygiene practices easier and less stressful in the future.

Because health and wellness are our top priority, Siber Star Siberians made the decision to be a female-only house with no breeding males. In this way, we can better control the genetic diversity of our bloodlines through selective and strategic pairings with closely allied catteries. All our breeding queens are endorsed by The International Cat Association (TICA), as well as the Cat Fancier’s Association (CFA). We have a planned breeding schedule, with some variable to account for timing and availability.

Before breeding occurs, each parent is carefully chosen and their pedigree and health are thoroughly vetted through a series of genetic tests to screen for any possible hereditary defects. Once the kittens are born, we follow a strict regime of veterinary wellness checks and daily weigh-ins in order to monitor the health of each individual. By the time they are ready to be adopted, each kitten will receive all its core vaccines, deworming, and microchips.

For the last 12 years, we have been showing Siberians in CFA, and we’ve been breeding for two years. One our queens is descended from our original show cat, Addi, and as of 2023 our reigning champion is Aurora. Siberian Forest Cats are a time-honored breed with a legacy dating back all the way into Russian antiquity. We are proud to continue the historic tradition of these amazing cats, and we hope to share it with your family, too.
